For these southern California couples photos, we waited until the sun went behind the cliffs to get this beautiful blue hour light. This was my first time in Malibu and I loved exploring the beaches and shops along the highway. The Los Angeles area truly has some of the most beautiful landscapes and I loved sightseeing while I was there. Someone please give me an excuse to go back!
One way that I make sure to capture candid engagement photos is by keeping my couples moving—I try to think like a movie director, giving actions, a few different movements or prompts in a row and from that they can give their own personal twist on my vision. Another way I keep it comfortable for my couples is to play music on my JBL Clip Bluetooth speaker during engagement photo sessions. This also lightens the mood and makes us have 10x more fun.
